Anthony “Wayne” Noha, a proud Chatham County native, is stepping up to run for the position of District 1 County Commissioner. Wayne has dedicated his life to positive change throughout Chatham County. With over 40 years of public service and fire department experience he will work tirelessly to make District 1 a better place for all of us!  His love for our fellow citizens is unmatched. Vision, Issues, & Values

  • “Accessible” to ALL citizens of Chatham County 24/7.

  • Address inequitable Fire Fees for Unincorporated residents and facilitate the integration of fire services into Chatham County Government as a new department. 

  • Infrastructure improvements AND maintenance of existing roads and drainage to mitigate flooding risk during storms and rising sea levels.

  • Continue to further aid the homeless/unsheltered population in finding solutions to their needs by supporting agencies that address issues to include mental illness.

    • Create programs that further encourage “LOCAL” community business involvement with county projects (KEEP THE MONEY LOCAL).

    • Wayne has voluntarily attended County Commission meetings since 2014 (missing only 4 meetings in last 3 years).

    • To maintain excellent relationships with each county department head and working together with many on projects creating positive outcomes.

    • Wayne’s knowledge of the operations within the county Government is unmatched. It will be a nearly seamless transition voting “WAYNE NOHA” on May 21st .

About Wayne

Anthony “Wayne” Noha, a lifelong resident of Chatham County’s District 1 for 58 years, brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his candidacy for County Commissioner.

With over 40 years as a firefighter, 26 of which in leadership, Wayne prioritizes public safety. He’s also deeply engaged in community organizations like the Montgomery Athletic Association and the Burnside Island Neighborhood Association.

As a small business owner since 1984 and a Georgia Licensed General Contractor since 2000, Wayne understands the local economy and development challenges firsthand.

He’s actively involved in community service, serving on the board of SAFE Shelter for Domestic Violence Services and as a board member with Savannah/Chatham Interagency Council on Homelessness.

Wayne’s governance experience includes chairing the Chatham County Zoning Board of Appeals and currently serving on the Savannah/Chatham County Metropolitan Planning Commission as Secretary.

Wayne’s commitment extends to religious and horticultural communities, as a charter member of Ferguson Avenue Baptist Church and past president of the Coastal Georgia Camellia Society.

With his diverse background and dedication to service, Wayne Noha is ready to lead District 1 as your next County Commissioner.
